I want to have a sump on the 135 gal. tank that I am setting up.  I do not want to use a glass aquarium because I had one break on me while on vacation a few years ago (no rubbermaid containers, either).  Do you know of anyone who makes them, or how I could find out how to make one?  I want a section in it to grow algae, and I will also need to house my skimmer and pump.

Thanks,

I've seen some pretty cool premade acrylic sumps recently.  They have dividers and everything.  Brad at the Aquarium has them, and they look way cool.  You can make one, but if you aren't familiar with making acrylic products then a sump is probably not the best thing to begin with.  Maybe see what Marcus charges to make acrylic sumps.  You can email him at [email protected]

Come to a meeting, they’re fun!

What's wrong with a rubbermaid? I'm not trying to change your mind, I was planning on using a rubbermaid containter and was wondering if there is a reason not to.

LOL, yeah may not be cool looking, but mine is going under my stand so it doesn't matter what it looks like.
