One of my friends pointed out that my corals and fish and sand for that matter would look really cool under a black light.  I was wondering if there would be any harm in adding a black light.  I wouldn't want to leave it on all day but maybe just for a few hours at the end of the day.

I am not certain on this, but if I remember right they produce a lot of UV light.  If this is the case then I would highly recommend not using a black light.  What is more acceptable in my opinion is to use Actinic lighting.
