i put about sixty or so pounds of base rock when i got my new tank.  i also put about the same amount of rock in that was from my 46 bow front..  my question is .. i have green algae growin on mostly just the base rock.  i'll put a see hare in and he'll eat most of it then it all just comes back.  is this something that is a problem with base rock?  algae prone?  the green is makin me crazy...

any input would be awesome.. thanx

Is the base rock just "dead" live rock or is it lace lava?

In time it should be just like the rest of your live rock.
