Just wondering what everyone feels are good refugium critters to have?  I have a ton of pods as well as bristle worms and so on there, a few snails and a couple banned crabs.  However, I still get a fair amount of detritus buildup.  Would a cuke be ok?  Any suggestions appreciated!

Rfoote, there was a thread not too long ago about having cukes in refugia.

I think that pods, bristle worms, peppermints, mysid, and all other "small bugs" are great.

I've heard that tuxedo and other small urchins are great. I'm planning on getting one soon.

I  just found a new "critter" in my refugia.  This lovely aptasia is quite large.  I had a big outbreak in my main tank and took care of it with peppermints.  For some reason they have left just one alive on a rock.  Is the one I found in the refugia a bad thing?  Maybe I need peppermints down there too.

I'd get rid of Aiptasia wherever it is found, otherwise, it could end up where you don't want it... In your main tank.

I put a peppermint in our sump. I think they spit out spores/eggs
so they will get back in your main system, if your peppermints
expire.....

I would get the aptasia out as well.  I have seen them spread to the main tank from the refugia.  I keep 2 peppermints in my refugia.
