He is a great sand maintenance guy, but he is even better building  sand castles.Big%20smile
I tear it down during the day and he rebuilds at night.  I have a huge zoo colony on this rock and he continues to cover it to build his house.
The guy is PERSISTANT.

We noticed that one of our watchman gobies doesn't have any eyes anymore. Very strange. He just skirts from one rock outcropping to another. He doesn't dig holes anymore.
Bad "censored" Cabinets
Best quality in the valley! He is one sexy bald guy, even with out a finger!(MAC)

My diamond goby does the exact same thing, except mine likes to pile sand on top of my fuzzy brown mushrooms.  Oh well, what can you do?

Because these guys live on the bottom of the tank they occasionally lose one or both eyes to crabs that pluck them out and eat them at night.Cry

I wonder if when they lose thier sight their hearing becomes more accute.

That could be. He gets out of the way when the stingray comes around. He's become a novelty cruising the sand with out any eyes.

So last night I moved my fuzzy brown mushrooms to a higher location up on some rocks because Harvey (my diamond goby) had almost completely buried them.  So this morning when my tank lights came on, I watched as Harvey pick up a small rock that 3 of the mushrooms on it and he dropped it back in the sand...  It has officially become a battle of wits between me and Harvey, I think he's trying to fight me for the title of "King of the Reef"

I put my money on Harvey. He's a native and you are in his ballpark.
