Well they finally after months of courting have begun to lay eggs.  I am not in a position to raise them but it is still an awesome thing watching how they care for them and drive anything away that would threaten them.

Congrats!  Any ideas on what you did to get them to spawn?  What do you feed your tank and how often?  What's the temp and salinity?  How about your lighting schedule?  I wish one of my SEVEN pair of anemonefish would get their act together.

I'd love to raise the babies, but you live too far away.  I've found that the travel is just too hard on them.  I collect babies all the time at a place that's about 20 miles away from my house and I loose about 40% on the trip home.  One of these days I'm going to figure out a better way to get them home.

Amie, my temp stays betwenn 77.9 and 78.3.  Salinity is 1.026 and light is 12 hours of T5 and 5 hours of 150w 20K MH.  I feed salt lake frozen brine daily and bbs daily plus flake.  That is about it.

I am sure that lightling and availablity of food is the key as with many creatures fish and birds are alot a like as far as breeding habits. The length of day and the variety of foods get the old hormones going because they will be able to feed their young. There's method to the madness.
