I'm setting up my first ozone unit and have some questions. The controller is set up already I just cannot remember how the yellow and black airlines hooked into the dryer and skimmer. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

What brand is it? Red Sea? They have manuals online.

Tried the manual. It might as well have been written in Chinese. Thanks though. Does the yellow line go into one end of the dryer canister and the black line out the other end of the dryer canister to the skimmer?

On the back of the aquazone, there is an "IN and an OUT"  Black is probably on your In and you hook the air dryer to this and the yellow is the OUt and this is hooked to your skimmer.

Thank you. Both lines go on the dryer though don't they? How blue do the beads need to be? I cooked them on 225 in the oven for 15 min and they're still a little pinkish purple.

You might want to do more research before adding it, start at very low setting and slowly work your ORP up in weeks time.

The guy I bought it from said he ran it on 25% all the time. Do you think that is a safe setting?

NO,  only one line comes from the dryer, the other goes out from your ozone generator to your skimmer.  The air dryer is used to draw all of the moisture out of the air before it enters the generator,  this helps the generator work at its peak performance.

No it's going on a 210 f/o. It's a 200 mg/hr. unit.

Then yes, 25% is a good place to start.  You will also need to clean your orp probe at least 2 times a week to get accurate measures on your tank so you can slowly adjust the percentage.  I have a 100mg/hr on my 225 and usually run it at 60%

When you want to dry your beads, place them in a bowl and place a napkin on top and use your microwave for 3-4 minutes, this will draw all the moisture out of them and return them back to blue in color.  Oven drying takes too long.

If you don't have a probe, how does the controller work?  I would strongly suggest  doing some more research on this before you add it.  I don't want you to have problems with it down the road.  RC has many threads on ozone and ozone use.  Do a search on it and it will help you .

The guy said it just ran it on 25% all the time and it worked fine. The only thing it came with was the control box with the percentage adjustment, the two air lines, two dryers and the skimmer.

Well, thats up to you, It might  do that just fine, but I know I wouldn't trust a stranger with my tank.  Here is a thread I just looked up that you might want to read, Its up to you,

Jake, How are you doing? Hows the tank maintenance business?
I'm very familiar with Ozone and how easy it is to use without a probe or controller.
You can call me anytime (see # below) for help with these things.
