Gary continues to do well. He eats well, plays well with others. All in all he's made a great reef addition.

Pic please and how does it do? I have heard that they are the worst of damsels, very territorial and aggressive. |
The pics in the post are of my actual fish. He is doing quite well. I feared he would be aggressive but he is fairly wimpy. He's eating well and outrunning his main harrasser, my coral beauty.

I've not heard or read that about Garibaldis except amongst themselves. Pictures are in the first page of the thread.

From where did you finally buy this fish? I grew up diving SoCal and this is my favorite fish in that area. I'd enjoy one in my tank.

Okay. I can officially recommend the Garibaldi Damsel for the reef tank. Gary is working out great! He doesn't bother anyone or anything. He is entertaining and colorful. Get one!

Gary survived the night. I was nervous he would be be a bully but actually he's quite a wimp... right now, anyway. My coral beauty really has it in for him. We'll see how this all plays out. They're roughly the same size, and nearly identical in shape. Right now it's all chase and no biting or anything. Gary is a faster swimmer than the coral beauty.

If I know Brad...he's ordering 5 or 6 of them as we speak.
A whirlpool tub will work with the jets on timers plumb it thru your deep freeze. Forget the rubber ducky!

Fresh from the fetid waters off the coast of Ensenada: I call him Gary... if it turns out not to be a male, I'll still call her Gary:
