You're right Mike, I didn't look at the pic of the crab she got only the "scary" pic.
The one I remember James mentioning was a Halloween Hermit. I don't remember him saying anything about the other one so I just took for granted that's what she had.
Something tells me they are not reef tank safe when they get really big. If nothing else they'll tear your rocks down. At that size I'd have to agree with Bob, lemon & butter would make it very yummy.

Amy,
I had one of those for quite a while. In fact, I think its still at Dave T's in his greenhouse tanks. It was an aggressive eater - but I never saw it attack anything else in the tank.

So the Giant Hermit - ate the one and only cerith snail in the tank. It's gone! Caught him ripping the body out of the shell
