Topic: Where's Nemo Corals??? Posted: February 25 2008 at 10:16am |
Hey has anyone ever bought corals from Where's Nemo, and what has their experience with them been like. I've been thinking of bidding on some of his stuff on Ebay, but before bidding I just figured I'd check others experiences.
Thanks,
-Tim

I went down there and bought a few things from him, after seeing them on Ebay. I figured it'd be better to see them in person. It's a small establishment in an old converted house in Am. Fork, and he's got a few nice things, but not a huge selection. I saw mushrooms for $4.95 on Ebay there, and then went down and got a nice forest green one for $3.00, attached to a small shell. Got a piece of xenia listed at $15 for just $10... he's willing to negotiate price in-person, but by nature Ebay just pushes prices up. VERY nice guy, though. Friendly, willing to answer questions, laid back...

all the corals I've gotten from him have weathered all my little tank mishaps so far and are actually the ones doing the best. He is willing to work with you, and will frag some corals up as well. Nice guy, I really enjoy that he's a block or so away from my office (and tank).

Small store, small (but decent) selection, heckuva nice guy who owns it. They also have reptiles and small animals (rabbits, ferrets, etc) there.
I go there every once in awhile.
The very first coral I put in my tank was $5 Xenia frag from Nemos. It was like 1.5 inches long and maybe 5 polyps total at the time.
11 months later, I have 5 seperate colonies with well over 100 polyps total (maybe 200 )
(Note to self: start fragging, dummy!)
Have bought shrooms and a Hammer frag there. Still looking good after several months.
P.S. - if any of you go in person, you're welcome to stop by and see my tank. I'm 10 minutes away ... ('cause nobody ever comes to see my tank )

I work in af as well, and would like to swing by and see your tank too carlos63! And if anyone wants to come see my tank, just let me know I'm in the office almost everyday from 830-430 or so.
