Do you know what it is?
It is in my nano at work, I have not added anything new for months and I have never seen him before. He was out cruising around but once the lights kicked on he hid. I am imagining he is eating well, he has had to have been in there for a while. My xenia is the only coral that is not doing well and it never does so that might not mean anything...............

It's like a mix between a nudi and a feather star!

Looks pretty similar to the pic I found?  They called it a banana nudibranch.  Sorry for spamming your thread!

It is a nudibranch.  They are for the most part specialty feeders.  They will usually feed on something you want to keep.

I don't know what the exact type is, but you could check out seaslugforum.net.  They will proabably have a good idea.

the only one that isnt bad for your tank is a berghia. More than likely it is a bad one. I'd at least pull it out and put it in another tank so if you do find out it is bad it doesnt lay eggs all over

Berghia is not the ONLY one that is not bad for your tank.
If this one is healthy and been in your tank for a long time AND has not eaten anything you like in there, I would say keep it. This all depends on what you have to lose of course.

The head is different than the one in the pic, he has long tentacles that stick straight up out of his head.............

It is a nano so it would not be too hard to find him...........I think I will leave him in there and see what happens.............

Thanks everyone!

one little nudi isnt worth your corals for sure. They could be feeding on zoas and you wouldnt really notice just one. If it turned into 20 however you would notice. little boogers

I think Nudibranch's are cool. If you like it as much as some of your corals then why not keep it. Unless he has more then one it wont multiply, and if it does multiply then the worst it can do is kill whatever it is feeding an and then die.
