I am just curious what the truth is about box snials. I have heard they are harmless, and I have heard they will eat polyps. Who is right? I have had them in my tank for awhile without worrying, but they seem to be multiplying. I have some green Palyathoa that they dont seem to bother.

I'm not familiar with box snails. Do they go by another name that you know of?

But not always.
Don't get paranoid.
I've never had trouble with them in my tanks and in doing maintenance on hundreds of tanks only found them once or twice.
All we need to do is watch out that they don't hang around the coral too much and remove them if we notice a problem.
