I'm going to compare two magnetic pumps: An Iwaki 70RLT and a Panworld 200PS



It's a bit old-school and most people aren't running these anymore, but I have a great use for one of them.

Maybe soon, uh, soon-er, or later...

Is power consumption part of what you will be testing.  That could be useful. 

I found that the Danner Mag Drive pumps I'm using on my pond use WAY less power than the cheapo pump I got from Harbor Freight and they still move almost as much water.

This should be a good thread....I have the Iwaki 70RLT and have been woundering if there is something better (more efficent/cost effective) for my situation.

Will, absolutely. I'll be looking at noise, heat transfer, flow, and power consumption.
