What would cause Zoos to change colors?
these were Long skirt eagle eye zoos, but they are noe purple and bigger then the rest and some of the others are changing.
they are changing and don't know what would cause that. they have been moved from 20k's to my 10k's but I don't think that would change them that much.

I can understand getting duller, but not changing color all together. But if that is the reason then it is.

The wife just noticed our pink ones that have been in there since before Christmas are doing the same. Changing to purple.
Is there any other explaination of Zoos changing colors?

I've had a few zooa's, a blundell button, and SPS do this, it's common. They closed up for a few days to a week and when they opened they look different. They are doing a zooanthella swap I've herd it's harmless but I did have a few zooa colonies die right after they did this (can't tell you if it was related though). At this point I don't trust coral color at all, it's all a crap shoot right?

I too agree that color change due to lighting is common.  I had some baby blue zoanthids that I put up high in my tank. After a very short period of time they turned darn near black...it was kinda cool!

Yeah I'd point to the lighting as well... there are a LOT of other corals nearby those though soo maybe toxins from the mushies... or the monti could be causing irritation. But I'm still thinkin light
