Just wondering what everyone feeds their sps corals??  I have never been a big coral feeder but have recently read that they may rely on regular feeding to complete their nutrient needs.

Live Phyto, pulverized frozen fish food, Adam's SPS Gumbo (I still have a block or two left in my freezer for sale - $10 goes to the WMAS), Julian Sprung's Marine Snow, Marc Weiss' Black Powder, dust size Golden Pearls...have I forgotten anything?

Or Aquatic Dreams.

Or Aquatica too.  I just mentioned the ones close to SLC since Travis would most likely be traveling down I-80.

Carl, does aquatic dreams sale golder pearls also??

I don't know about AD, but I don't know of any LFS in SLC that carries golden pearls.  You can buy directly from BSD or get in on a group order next time one pops up here.  There a few guys in Brigham City who might be able to stop by BSD on the way to the monthly meeting...

How often do you feed??

on average I feed my coral about every other day alternating between GP and cylops.  A little shot of Tahitian blend algae paste every day.

Do they carry Golden Pearls? I don't recall seeing them there before. Of course I had never heard of them prior to this thread.

I feed my corals 1-2 times/week:
Direct - Krill or Silversides
Indirect - Brine or Cyclop-eeze

OH and Mark, I'll take some of that gunk too if you're in my area anytime soon.

Yes they do. They are in their little fridge on their display case. Just ask Eric for them.

I've heard good things about marine snow and was planning to use it...  I think I'll give the Golden Pearls and cylops a try.

What microns does everyone use?

Marine Snow is a good invert food, but not worth $20/bottle. A LFS near me is closing out some Marine Snow for $7. I bought two bottles and there is more. I keep it in the fridge and feed up to 1/4 cup after dark.

Regarding the SPS Gumbo, you may have to visit me or bug me just before the meeting to get me to bring it.
