Jesse, yes you can frag them, but it is just starting to be done, and is too risky for me to try. I might try it out on a less expensive coral, but I wouldn't want to risk it on these. And dont believe Andy, you dont use a chainsaw, you use a bandsaw, with water injection.

Crystal, thanks for the links, that one on R2R looks nice. I didnt really know what I was getting when I bought it from you.

You asked for FTS and you got them. Ya, the tank is changing a lot right now. I am adding a bunch of new corals and every week it seems, there is something new in the tank. At some point it will get full, of course I want to leave room for everything to grow in.

It's coming along great. I'm so surprised how small things look in that tank. Its changed a bit since I seen it when I got some food from you.

Alright I got some new full tank shots last night and thought I would share. I really like taking pics at night because you get a whole lot less glare. Frags are still small but they are growing steadily. It will be a while before they actually look like corals instead of my tank looking like a frag tank.

And I got another pic of the new Trachyphillia. Come on all you lurkers let me know what you think.

we will have to ask crystal to figure out for sure what the coral is and if she can give us a link of what it is and where its from. i got it from her, so she should know what it is.

the bottom left two stalks look to be colored correctly for it.. see how the body is kind of a green color (jade) and the coralites are pink?

pink.. and jade :) its tyree i'm sure you can find a better picture of it online. we have lost all of our sps the past 6 months. I lost the whole colony of pink jade the other day in the tank move. so.. thats it. the orange sherbert is gone too and that was a pretty rare piece. We arent planning on getting more until the big tank is up and running. but that picture you have looks pretty close to what it looks like

Still can't believe you bought both of those. For those that didn't see it the green one is about 10-12 inches across. The smaller red one if IMO the BEST looking one I have ever seen. Simply stunning.
None at the moment

Today was the WMAS sponsored Mountain West Reef Fest, and it was a blast. I didn't initially intend to go, couldn't really afford it and I knew what kind of stuff was going to be there. I knew there was going to be some sweet stuff and it was going to be too tempting.

Well I got tempted, big time! But before I get to that I would like to say that the event was amazing! There were great booths representing many of the great big name products that we all use on a daily basis. I enjoyed talking with them, listening to the presentations and looking at all the coral. This event was a hit!

Now, what I got tempted with, Dave from Reef Kingdom had some amazing stuff and once I saw it I couldn't let it pass. Now I have to sell a bunch of coral to pay my rent...lol. Bought 2 amazing trachy's, honestly these are so insane. For those that saw them at the actual show, you can vouch, they are probably brighter in person than they are in the pictures. I am completely blown away by these corals.

Thanks Mike. Doesn't really hold a candle to your work, but not bad for a point and shoot. I will have to get you to come take some pics some time. Tank isn't mature enough yet...but eventually.
