Topic: How many tanks do you have? Posted: August 24 2004 at 6:55am |
I was hoping to post a poll... (jake) .....
I have noticed in this hobbie that people either have one or two tanks, or twenty.
What are all your tanks, and where in the house are they? Maybe you will find people with similar ideas.
- I'll start with my 80 gallon reef in the living room as you walk throught the front door
- then my 55 gallon FO headboard (bedroom)
- now the updated computeroom .... one 75 gallon turtle tank with 2 small soft shelled turtles
- 55gallon long water monitor tank (computer room)
- 30 tall mesh camelien tank (computer room)
- my buddies 30 gallon bearded dragon (computer room)
- does a 10 gallon cricket cage count?
- well the turtles used to be in the kitchen..... now theres nothing..... DOWNSTAIRS off to the left my 280 FW South american catfish tank
- behind the coutch is my soon departing 55 gallon FW crab tank
- next to the TV is my NEW (to me) 120 FW community tank
well that was fun.... Anyone have likeminded houses?

I have a 90 gal reef and a 10 gal freshwater tank. I have like 4 20 gal tanks that are empty. Maybe I should fill 'em up!

A 36 gal reef in building that is just starting out next to my entertainment center in the living room.
A 18 gal nano in the bedroom
a 2 gal for Stanley da Betta
a 1 gal thats empty for now.
a 63l guppy holding tank waiting for the 36 gal to get up and going

12 gallon nano in family room
15 gallon nano with 15 gallon refugium in office
Setting up this weekend, 12 gallon LBJ nano at work

Wow, I just started in saltwater the end of June. I'm looking slightly obsessed when I read this list. Luckily, I'm not alone!

Looks like I'm almost as obsessed as some of the others of you.
180 gallon reef in my home office. (w/80 gallon sump)
150 gallon reef in my at work office. (w/60 gallon sump)
75 gallon fresh water planted tank in my home office.
20 gallon fresh water Gourami & Angel species tank in my home office. (Also includes my Black Ghost Knife.)
10 gallon Guppy grow out tank in my home office.
10 gallon Guppy/Betta tank in my work office.
Comming soon:
30 gallon tall Damsel tank in my home office. (I think...may end up at the work office for lack of room at home.)
130 gallon Discus tank in my home office.
If it sounds like my home office is really a fish room you're probably right. At this rate I will have to move the desk and computer out soon.

I have three...
6g nano reef in the bedroom
55g soft/ lps reef in the upstairs living room
110g sps reef down stairs in the "fish room" ... well ok, the family room.
That's plenty for me... I already spend 95% of my time at home with the three.

Oops! Forgot that one! And, Rob is getting me another pond for the front yard, with a dolphin fountain!! But, I'm going to bleach it. If it doesn't have fish or bugs, does it still count? I mean, it will have a dolphin fountain!
