Brown Algae Bloom

I know, you have talked about this multiple times because I have read all the posts.  But, it wasn't happening to me at the time.  I set up a nano (at work) Sat.  with cured live rock, live sand from my refugium (3 inches deep), live water from a water change.  I have had the lights on 16 hours a day to get through the algae bloom.  So, now that it is here, is there anything I can do about it?  The tank is 12 gallons, there are 3 snails in there right now.  I am going to do a water change tomorrow, should I try to vacuum up the algae during the change.  Advice would be appreciated.   Susan

Buy a lot more snails and when it's done and their job is over, sell them to me. I can use a lot of snails.
