Ooooh, Wendover.  Road Trip!!! Road Trip!!! Road Trip!!!  Let's have the next WMAS meeting in Wendover.  Montego Bay anyone?  Not a big fan of smoke filled casinos, but the free drinks are where it's at.  If you go on a weekday, I think rooms are like 20 dollars or something like that.  First Thursday of October, anyone want to go?

Well Adam,  I wouldnt have believed it,  if i didnt read it with my own eyes,  but that was a good story.   A funny, entertaining story

Well,  what can i say.  ive been road trippin since I was a twinkle in my fathers eye.  So im always down, if there is some interest.  and as ive stated before I dont mind driving.   And hell Adam,  you can tell a story or two in my car any time(I might regret that someday).  I think well figure out something.  I tell you old Jewnyer and I are movers and shakers.  dont want any "dead areas" in the tank of life

Hey Sushi Get This-

COOL STORY AHEAD-

Longest WMAS meeting in our history-
So what was the longest meeting we ever had?  Would you believe 14 hours!!!!
That is right I left my house at 6pm to go to a meeting.  We had a great guest speaker that night.  So after the meeting we went to dinner of course.  But you know what we were having so much fun that we just didn't want to stop.  Then we started talking about great salt lake sand (give you one guess who was talking about it) and then started talking about Wendover.
Well one thing lead to another (you know like Jon's "what happens on the road stays on the road" type thing) and we all headed out to Wendover.  So here we are at 4am in the Wendover casinos.  Keep in mind I'm still like 3 years under age.  Then we finally headed home.

I remember pulling into SLC at 8am and we were all so very tired.  Couldn't believe we had been out all night.  Then Mark made one the funniest (in hind sight, pretty scary at the time) comments I've ever heard.  After being out all night he suddenly says "you know what???  I forgot to call my wife and tell her I was staying out".
I'm sure he came home to one of those "you're sleeping on the couch tonight" type lectures. (you know what I mean Jon?)

Come to a meeting, they’re fun!

Maybe we should start off small.  I know,  how about a WMAS raod trip to wendover.

They have a slot machine called "lobster mania" think of everything you could learn!!!

baby steps right, baby steps.   And Im still willing to drive.

Back on topic...What does MASNA do for us?  Seriously, if the club pays them the dues they want do we get anything out of it?  Speakers for free?  Discounts to MACNA? Anything?  Or do we just get to feel good about helping them out with their causes?  I'm not saying this is a bad thing either, just wondering.

I would love to attend a MACNA conference, but same as everyone else I just can't fork out the kind of money it takes to travel to Boston or Washington.  Try one west of Denver and we'll talk.  Frankly if I had the money to take that trip I would rather use it to go to the Carribean and go scuba diving than talk to a bunch of other people that have done it when I haven't.

A road trip is a great idea, but by the time you go to Washington D.C. you may as well save some money and fly.  Besides the six to eight extra travel days away from work are more costly than the trip itself if you're not getting paid.

I don't have many more stories about Karl (remember with a K).  But I do have some stories about a fish named Rob.  But the girl fish call Rob-A because he is a hottie and always brings his A game.  Oh, and a fish named Finch. But those stories will have to wait until road trip time.

By the way, you all know that road trip group from Boise is coming this weekend to see our Reef Tour right?  I think they're also coming to laugh at you people down south because they know Boise St is going win big this Friday night.

Man DC would be nice.  The wheels on my walker fell off though sushi.  I'd also like to order a whineaken with my wahmburger and my french cries.  I got my own car, I'll follow behind.  The trip wouldn't seem that long if Adam told another story about "Carl", cause I'd just kill myself.  Just kidding all mighty El Presidente.  All kidding aside, I would love a road trip.

I would be up for a roadtrip somewhere in the west half of the U.S.  I would also attend if the conference was somewhere closer.  I'm in the same boat as the others in that I can't justify that much of an expense for a hobby.

How about we all schedule our family vacations around the conference and head up to DC?  I think I'll tell the wife we're going to DC then say, "WOW!  Look at that honey, there's a reef conference going on here!  What a coincidence!"

Sounds like a bunch of old old men,  road trip is too long,  make them come here.  sounds like you all need a wahburger and some french cries.

So lets load up your walkers, make sure you have your fiber, and hit the open road.
im sure Jewnyer could hang,  cant the rest of the crew?
