That I think my clownfish is hosting my frogspawn. I thought it was funny and I'd share. Anyone else have their clownfish host something odd?

My clown hosted my frogspawn as well, but I think it was a lil rough seemed to tear the skin off of the skeleton in some places where it got a lil wild....

I have been running my tank with out a clown fish for over a year now and love every minute of it!
Mine hosted my frogspawn for the year I had it. It also attacked me every time I stuck my hand in the tank.

I must have terrible luck then because I am 4 for 4 on mine. Every clown I get attacks me.
Well come to think of it, my true percula didn't but the tank raised ocellaris do every time!

All of mine have attacked me but I just push them back its a little game. Ryan doesn't have one because he had a horrible childhood and the "nemos" remind him of being a child. He usually cry's when he sees one. Same reason he will never have a hippo. Reminds him of the childrens movie Finding Nemo

Thanks Jeremy for bringing up those memories! I will call work and tell them I am headed back to the shrink for a week, they won't be happy!

I have had tanks for almost 4 years now, and I have had between 2 and 6 clowns at all times since day one.
None of my clowns have ever hosted in anything... I have anemones, frogspawn, and a bunch of softies... and nothing... nothing...
Maybe I buy the defective clowns...

I had the same problem when I got my first clown. I had a gbta in there with him and he over looked it for 2 weeks. I finally ended up putting a picture of a clownfish hosting an anemone on the glass close to my anemone. Call me crazy, but it worked. The next day he found his anemone and never left it. Maybe give that a try.

When I picked up my anemone last week and put the bag in the tank to acclimate it my clown started charging the bag to try to get to the anemone.
Needless to say, after an hour in the tank the clown hasn't left since. My other clown is trying to get close to it, but the female wont let him near it, so I guess we will see what happens
I guess I got lucky, I think both of my clowns are Occelaris, but one may be a true perc, the place I bought them from didn't know
