I used a butter knife on mine when he was stuck in my overflow and must of worked ok since he split a week later.But that was a smooth surface so may be easier than a rock.

Be careful with the power head that once he's off he doesn't get sucked in!
I've heard they don't like metal so like the smooth side of a butter knife.  I've also seen people take a chisel and break the rock down around him, but gotta be soooo careful.

icecubes work sometimes as well.  Hold an icecube at the foot of the anemone and sometimes it will release itself from the rock.  I have also taken a small flat blade screw driver and and basically pried them from the rock with no ill effect to the anemone.


The only clowns I like are in my tank!
