Cry... not sure what is happening but I've been getting this brown Fungus on my zoo's and a lot of them are shrinking and dieing Angry.  Anyone have a good fix for this?  I had my water tested by the LFS and they said everything looked good.

Do I use straight Iodine?  Or dilute it?

cool, thanks!  I will try dipping them today.  It's going to suck because most of my Zoa's are glued to my LR :(

I just noticed this same stuff on my zoanthids last night. I have lost three expensive frags of zoanthids in my tank and can't figure it out for the life of me. All parameters are right on and I have tried multiple dips and scrubs to save them. Nothing has worked so I am just letting them die off at this point.

People can say what they want but zoanthids are NOT beginner corals nor are they easy to care for. I have been in this hobby for 6 years and it is usually just a matter or time before zoanthids start melting for no apparent reason.

Sorry to see this man! Keep your head up

Hmmm...so probably a good idea to frag unaffected zoa's ASAP.

I'm gonna catch crap for this, but maybe using buffered Sodium Ascorbate (powdered Vit C) may help? If you are interested, I can find the thread for you.

The wierd thing is that this stuff is attacking everything now, my candy corals look bad, even my xenia looks horrible and that stuff was growing out of control a few weeks ago...

Mine definitely isn't cyano. Looks like Brown Jelly disease but I didn't think it attacked zoos.

Yea, mine is growing all over my glass, I keep scraping it off but it's almost like hair algae too because it gets these long strands hanging all over too.  It sucks you are having the same problem but at least I'm not alone... lol
