my big emerald is always guarding his favorite scolly.

Indefinite hiatus from sw aquariums.

Once I have my glorious return I'll set back up the following.

Thanks so much Mike! After all, you were the one who taught me how to shoot fish/coral.

I took that shot at Bird World the other day. They had a few of these Bat Fish in and couldn't resist. I've only ever seen these in books, never in person. I'm glad the shot turned out well even though I had to use a flash. It really did make the orange pop.

I talked to them about it and I guess they are now able to breed and raise these fish in captivity. He said they were about 200.00 before. Still 109 on a fish, dont know If id be willing to spend that much haha. Awesome fish though!

^I guess it all depends on the fish.  I like how they look as juveniles, but I am not sold on the adult model ;)

My hang up is their care when they get to adulthood. I've read that they can get up to 3 feet tall and need a 300 gallon tank or greater. Plus they are not reef safe (as far as I've read that is).

Never the less they are absolutely amazing looking fish.
