@WhiteReef what equipment are you using? looks like maybe a macro filter on the end of your lens

I was using an extention tube with my quantaray 70mm-300mm lens.

extention tube set .. it is all manual, so I would have preferred the one that properly connects to the lens. However, it works and it was reasonable to get started using one.
