Topic: ADVICE needed Posted: March 06 2012 at 4:36pm |
So Troys dad was just diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer that has spread. We are thinking we are going to move back to Iowa to try and do what we can and spend as much time with him as possible.
Here is my question: I HATE, I mean HATE the thought of not taking my fish with me. Would it be worth it to have someone hold them for me and then when I have a tank up and cycled have them send me the fish? Or am I better of starting from scratch?
I know I will sell off the corals and rock and what not just because I don't want the hassle, but my fish ( 6 pairs total ) which include my very loved snowcassos and picassos. Give me your ideas and opinions please. Pam

That's a hard call. I wish I had the room I would hold them for you. You may be ok if you can find someone to take them and when ready have them shipped to you seems they are all mostly laying pairs and would be hard to replace. Text me if you need to.

Pam, Our prayers will be with you guys, hope you can be there for him as long as possible. My parents arent here in Utah, they live 2000 miles away. I cant imagine how difficult it would be to get those kind of news.

Sorry about the unfortunate situation... to answer your question... I'd find a friend here to hold them, then ship them to you in a few weeks.

I've got a 75G isolation tank plumbed into our 265G. I could help out. Let me know.

Pam our prayers will be with you and your family. PM Loraine (Bluespot jawfish) she took some fish with her when she moved to Texas. She might have some good advice.

Pam and Troy, My prayers are with you. My father battled rectal, colon and liver cancer. So far he's winning. I wish I could help but my 30 gal. just isnt big enough. Hope all goes well. Keep your heads up...all of you!
