dead halides i have a 250 watt on my 40g breeder the  aro ballast died today and i put some t5 on it for now 2 39w ho t5
  i was looking for a ballast  and found the tao tronics 120 watt leds and was thinkin they are cheaper than a ballast would they keep my sps happy untell the planed upgrade i'm going to upgrade back to a bigger tank after the move at the end of the summer please help or what do you think i should do replace
the ballast or get more t5

I have a friend that is using 2 of those very same leds on his 75 gallon reef and he is growing SPS on the top of his tank as well as some LPS lower and an anemone.  I think if you put two of them on your breeder you wouldn't even need to re-upgrade when you get a larger tank.

I have one of these fixtures currently over my 65 gallon and I love it. My sps is very happy.

I believe my buddy's lights are somewhere about 10" above his tank.

yes I have them on timers and they are about 6 inches off of the water

Hi Kay,
 
I have a 250 Watt Ballast I will let you have for $40 if you want it..  It is electronic and will light any 250 Watt MH bulb
