Topic: Site functionality and looks... Suggestion.... Posted: January 14 2013 at 5:32pm |
I'm a big fan of Go Daddy Founder Bob Parsons. http://www.bobparsons.me/bp_16_rules.php?ci=21428He says "#7 - Always be moving forward. Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop
doing something new. The moment you stop improving your organization,
it starts to die. Make it your goal to be better each and every day, in
some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen. Small daily
improvements eventually result in huge advantages."

I also think the site should be modified to be more user friendly. That being said Jake has done a wonderful job, and it has come leaps and bounds from where it was years ago.

Thanks Jeremy, I am serious about helping out if you guys like. even if it is to take some pressure off others. If there were an upgrade to the site, there are tons of things you can do to make money for the site. I could even help out in advertising. I make a lot in advertising myself so I know what your missing out on.

Brain,
Thank you very much for the suggestion. Your website looks great! I will put it on the agenda to talk about at the next presidency meeting. I will also speak with Jake and get his input on it.
As you have heard of and are aware of, Jake does the website and offers up all services free. He has always done so. In the process of what he does, I know Jake is always got something in the works for the website and he may have already been working on a revamp. Once again Im not sure of this but I will speak with Jake. Get his ideas and then present to the presidency.
Thank you again, and again that site is amazing. Im actually going to send you a PM for my business and ask you a few questions to see what you can do! Thank you
Jeremy

I think it sounds like a very generous offer. I work in information technology and there is a lot of time that goes into this stuff. If the pres is happy with the site whateve thats cool. But I say kudos to you man for offering up your services for free

You people are being weird. If the man wants to work for free, let him. I would think the only considerations would be style/ u.e. upgrades or not?

also the software that I showed jake has an addon for the members to create their own blogs here and manage their own blogs. It could be for paid members only or for everyone.

Hey guys, I have gotten a few emails saying that I an doing this for money. Just so everyone knows I am not asking or suggesting this to make any profit. in fact I am not asking anything in return. I am simply offering my knowledge and more to help Jake if he decides to do this. I love WMAS and want to give back.
Thanks, ClownFishAddict

Yup Jake runs the site basically. He's the one to go through. I'm not opposed to updates to the forum but I think the main page looks good these days.
Also that is one expensive Glock!

I would just talk to Jake...he's the site guru. You'd fly over my head in a heartbeat.
