No, that is an Acropora species, not Montipora setosa.

how come it does not branch and why are the polyps so big? Sorry for the bad pic. It has polyps like a metor shower coral or something along that lines. You can actually see them if you look really close..

Acropora growth structure depends on a variety of factors: flow, light, species, etc.
