Want one, never had one.

I have a 12 gallon with a royal gramma, soft corals, peppermint shrimp and a cleaner shrimp.

Thoughts?

I have a plastic shield that covers most of the water. I guess all gobies are jumpers though, eh?

They are cooler water fish. What temp do you run your tank? If you've ever swum off the coast of California, that's their sort of environment.

Yeah that may not work then. I keep my tank at 78F and I see they require around 70F.

Won't work.  Keep them in the 60's, even in the 50's.  Many people have tried in the 70's but never with success.

When I dove Catalina Island (their namesake), the surface water temperature was 54 degrees.
