So I have a question for all the Aqualifter users out there. I have an aqualifter for my ato. It is in my stand and needs to lift the water from it's location 28" up to my tank. I have been running it this way for about 4 months and have had to replace the diaphrams twice already.

My question is would it last longer if I moved the pump up onto the back of the tank and had it pull the water up to the tank instead of trying to push it up? I know a couple of people with sumps that they top off in and the Aqualifter works for years without having to replace the diagrams. Just wondering if the lift height is the issue or if I am just over looking something else here?

Any info or thoughts appreciated
