I spoke with Adam about it. He was kind of stumped. It developed a lack of buoyancy control and in one day it turned from appearing fine/eating to dead. Not sure what happened.

That sucks. Sorry to hear. Glad to hear that it looks like your corals are staying to get happy again in the new tank.

I added a small snowflake eel. In one day it kicked out the pistol shrimp/ goby pair and stole their home. I even introduced it 6 feet away. Oh well. They moved to the other side of the tank and are building a new home. Hopefully this eel is as nice as the last one I had. Also picked up a royal gramma basslet. This little guy is in qt.

You sure like stuff that digs up your sand bed and makes your rocks fall down. Lol the basslet I agree with.

Are you sure your building a reef? It sounds like a shark tank with eels and triggers! :)

Tank Update: Stock list updated. Added a few new fish and lost a few.
My neighbor fish sitter "forgot" to feed the tank for three days. I came back to a missing pistol shrimp and a dead royal gramma. I think the trigger found some food with the shrimp. The gramma was being consumed by the clean up crew. The yellow prawn goby was missing his friend and did not build a cave since. It died yesterday of unknown causes. I found its body stuck to a MP10.
The trigger and foxface got into some sort of argument yesterday. The trigger appears to have won as the foxface now has two bite marks on its dorsal fin that look trigger mouth shaped.
The eel is acclimating well. Trigger is eating well. Added some more poison to the tank with the pair of striped blennies.

As you can see by my stock list I tend to put "not reef safe" animals in my reef tank. I had the tank set up for a stingray. I didn't feel like trying another so when a small shark became available I went for it.
No need to "waste" the prime large sand bed and caves. So I added a 6 inch black banded cat shark. Acclimating nicely I think.
Wait till I show you the new zoa colony I picked up today. They are crazy colored, never seen before, by me at least. Red/pink center with a blue ring then a long green skirt. I was excited to find them.
Also picked up a new utter chaos frag and new frog spawn colony today.
