You can rent almost any Nikon lens at Pictureline in downtown SLC.
150 gal reef with 50 gal sump. Reef Octopus DCS-200 Skimmer. AI Sol Blues.

The difference between a macro and a telephoto macro is a bit about the quality but unless you're a pro photographer, its not worth the price. Telephoto macros work extremely well and you can get a new one for about 185$ depending on the make. I've always used them and always like the results.

I'd really like to take some good pics of my tank as it stands now until I can get a good macro lens for my Nikon D300 DSLR. I was thinking if someone was willing to let me borrow their lens and/or camera for a night in trade for some frags of something, that would be great. Preferably, someone close to Highland. Maybe that's a stretch but it doesn't hurt to ask. 

I'd really like to buy a macro lens but the recommended $500 is a bit out of my price range and I'm not sure how good the telephoto/macro lenses are that I see on KSL for about $100-$150.
