Who did the readings?

Are there readings from any other bulbs to compare it to?

That blows... I was getting kinda excited. I'm going to Corey's tomorrow... lets see what his tank can do to convince me in a certain bulb.

Yea, but I promise to tell the truth... What's your schedule??? I can work around it... the earlier the better, though.

what do those numbers mean? what do we have to compare them to? Way to scientific for me right now....
I will just give my warning that your system will flood, bulbs will burn out, and things will take continuous maintenance... get over it.

PAR is most important for coral growth.

None if it matters if you're only trying to acheive a certain color
temperature in your tank, and aren't worried about coral growth.

Anyone have Sanjays site handy for Skyetone... That's the best reference
for lighting.

There's not much for comparison in the 175 watt class, though. Does anybody have the numbers of the XM SE 175 watt 10000k vs the AB SE 175 watt 10000k(actual 13000k) on a probe start ballast(Cool Touch)?
