Is there no one else that makes their own food?
At one time it was almost a necessity for the serious hobbyist because the commercially available foods were limited.
It
seems like more and more hobbyists are feeding just dry foods. This is
unfortunate. Although the dry products claim to provide nutrition and
enhance color, it's all just marketing hype. A clear example of the
difference is the rescued clownfish I'm currently caring for. They were fed
pellets. Their color was extremely drab a few weeks ago. Feeding a variety of
frozen meaty and algae foods has made them beautiful and colorful.
