Woke up to this. I read that LPS could sting them before I got it, but I didn't consider LPS eating them, lesson learned, poor guy and dumb owner. Maybe this post will prevent others from making mistake

I've heard of scolys eating seahorse as well.... poor bastard.

It's colors will be sweet too, happens every time my Acans eat one of my snails or hermit crabs.

Very true on the not having to feed the scoly aspect. The store I got the pipefish from had scolys in the tank I believe. I've seen the scoly eat hermits (pops shell back out after which is pretty cool) so I guess I should have thought through the pipefish a little more. RIP lil buddy.Cry

It was a dragonface pipefish most likely a Corythoichthys instinalis but its color is gone obviously.
