    Posted: May 29 2015 at 11:44am
I have been adjusting my settings on my 2 MP40s which are connected to my Apex controller. My question is this:

What flow rate do you run during night time? Have any of you kept the flow rate the same as day time rate? I am wondering if I keep my flow high(i usually run around 20% at night) if I will get better color and growth out of my SPS?

Thoughts? Experience?

I never lower the flow rate at night - because the ocean doesn't do that.

I would keep the flow high 24 hrs a day

Mine never lowers, it's always the same at night as it is during the day.

I adjusted mine so they are high at night. I will report back on how things chance. I think more flow will be beneficial to the pH and oxygen levels.

I have one side of my tank, (2 vortech's ) go into sleep mode for the night. The other 2 I leave full flow.

I have been leaving mine on with the same high flow pattern as the day and it seems that my corals are happier. Flow seems to be a key ingredient to happy and healthy sps.

Since I added a second MP40(4 weeks ago) to my 93G Cube my sps growth has significantly increased and I am getting more even growth pattern since they get blasted from 2 sides rather than just one.
