As a young beginner hobbyist I knew relatively nothing about the living reef. On the other hand, our friend Adam Blundell studied the reef environment extensively. Adam's knowledge of marine environments long ago far surpassed anything that I could teach him after we first met at my house during the 1996(?) Reef Tour when he was in High School. Now he teaches me new things all the time.

In the pics below, linked from his website, I see 100's of BTA's with dozens of color variations. I had never imagined that BTA's grew like this in the wild. Sorry the first pic is kind of blurry. It has more definition on his website along with a bunch of other "must see" reef pics. I believe the full size pics can be purchased.
