Well this will be my first reef tank. I have been doing cichlids for the past 6 yrs and got bored with them. So i needed a new challenge and a reef/saltwater aquarium will be it. So i have been reading watching videos and learning for the past yr. My tank is 135 gallon with a diy sump/ refuge, asm skimmer,dc return pump,3 mars aqua led lights. Diy light hangers, six stage ro/di hang on back overflow. I'm still gathering thing before i start my cycle. I also have around 200 pounds of dead rock that i still nee to cure. I also live in hurricane ut. Thanks for the add and another place to learn more.
I know i want to start out with softies to see how that goes. I realy like the look of a zoa garden as for fish I'm still trying to figure that one out. Thanks for the welcome.
Great start! Just know you don't have to cure dead rock. Best way to go about it is set up the dead rock as your base and get a fellow reefer to give you some live rock (transported in water from their tank) from an established system. This limits any die off and will get you started quicker. Excited to see what you do with this tank.
