So, i'm beginning my triumphant return to SW.

I'm going to be setting up my 180 and on the other side of the wall I'll be doing a fish room. I'll post pictures later.
I have a suspended garage and under the garage I have a big room I'm in the early stages of finishing. I'm going to put a bar in the room, a pool table, and my 180 display. On the other side of the concrete wall I'll be putting my fish room. The room is currently a storage room but I have about a 12ft by 3 ft space that I can dedicate to equipment. I plan to put in a utility sink so I can have water lines and drains.

What I'd like is to have a ton of water volume. I'll be putting in a huge sump, huge refug, and a frag system that is all plumbed together. I also plan to have water storage tanks.

So, can people who have fish rooms post pictures and give some of their big dos or don'ts?

Also, I can't figure out how to find my old tank threads for my 90 and 180 because the search function doesn't work. Anyone know any tricks to finding those?

Indefinite hiatus from sw aquariums.

Once I have my glorious return I'll set back up the following.

I'm not sure what part of search isn't working for you but you can go to your profile by clicking your username to the left of your post and choosing member profile. Once that page opens there is a link in there that says fine threads by this user. Try that and I'll do some searches as well.

Hopefully one of those is what you are looking for.

I have no idea what I was doing wrong, thanks for finding those.

So I still have everything from this thread but I'll be moving it from under the tank to the fish room and adding additional support tanks.

I've always had all the support equipment under the tank, never in its own room where I had a lot more room to work with. So would love for people who have a fish room to give me their thoughts on what they like and don't like.

Happy to help. I wish I had a fish room to share those ideas but I'm still under the stand with my setups. Best of luck man. I can't wait to see your new setup. Welcome back to the addiction.

What i'm really interested in seeing is how people do multiple tank support systems. So possibly a frag tank, sump, and separate refuge all in the same system.

Also water change systems.

I have a basement sump room that has most of those components. 45 gallon frag, 40 gallon fuge, 60 gallon sump, water change station, reactors, and wash sink.
