I have actually heard of gobies setting up shop inside a clam before. How cool is this hobby? Everyone gets along.

the perc right at first within the first 10 minutes of introducing her
into the tank went right for the clam, and the clam.... well let me
just say that I thought that the our new fish was a goner. but after
about 1 or two minutes the clam opened enough to let her out. and since
then(about two months now) the clam is just used to it. in fact the
clam is really slow to react to even a shadow over it.
I've been a bit worried for the clam but the perc gets evicted every
night when the lights go out and she's back around when the lights go
on.

That's cool. I would have loved to see that.
One of my clams closed on my finger once when I unknowingly stuck it into the mantel. The mantel is so soft and slippery. My finger slipped right out, but it made me jump. Suzy was saying a while back that she read someones post on RC saying that Seahorses should not be kept with clams because the clam will crush the Seahorses tail. All I can say is, that person doesn't know beans about clams.
