City of residence

Does the software limit us to only selecting a country?  It's frequently fictious anyway, and understandably so since it's a meaningless piece of data.  At the same time, one of the most frequently asked questions at the trading post is, "Where are you located?".  That's what we all want to know before we even repsond to a member that's to far away to make it worth our while.  Any chance 'city' could replace the country field?? This has been asked and talked about before.  In order to change that field to cities we would have to manually enter each city into a database.  Although most of our members are from Utah we have forum members from all over the country (even some out of the country).  It would be impossible to add each city.

To fix this problem we have recommended that people add their location to their signature line (like Shane said).

Good point.  I used to have it there, but most have delete it when I changed my signature last.

Well, yes and no.  There countries are actually hard coded into the forum.  I can change these, but it is not an easy change.  Plus we have many people that don't live in Utah.
