So I have a 120gal tank and I run 2 of these along with 2 blue VHO's.  So someone tell me why I need 20k's.  Is there any difference for the corals or livestock?  Or should I just stay with what I have?

You don't NEED 20k.  I would think you are just fine with what you have now. If you don't like the color you are getting now , you might try a different brand bulb. But I like the 14k bulb better then the 20k and I used to run 20k for two years.

IMO 20K lights are real blue and have less growth. 14K is a good balance of color vs growth.

Hmm, that is funny.  I think the 14k bulb is more blue than the 20k bulb.  That is why I like it better.  The 20k bulb I tried was more yellow.  I run Hamilton brand.  What brand do you run Mike?

I run the Marine Aquatics "house" brand at 10K. Crisp white and good growth.
