My figi leather from the coral cutting is doing great! It attached, is already growing and has great polyp extension. But, it is a boring shade of brown....How do I get the yellow back? It's in a good flow area, and is toward the top of the tank with VHO lights. What do you think?

Sometimes IME it just takes time.  I guess for the coral to get settled in and comfortable.  I have a purple digitata frag that didn't get it's purple color until about a month after I got it, before that it was just a dull brown too.

Perhaps I would be better at basket weaving. . . at least it would be cheaper!

The lovely and gracious Monica was given a yellow lobophytom about 8 months ago because it wasn't doing well.  It remained very light yellow for a few months but had no polyp extension.  A few weeks before the reef tour, it started extending the polyps where the color was darker.  Now half of it is brown and the other half is kind of yellow but is turning brown.  There is great polyp extension where it is brown.  I am thinking this might have been a normal lobophytom that had just been bleached....

Suzy.  The little yellow frag I got is doing well too but also very brown.  Maybe we both just need  to give them time.  I hope for yellow too.  It is high in my tank and under power compacts.
