IF I'm thinking the same thing it would be like a section of the forum for SPS and LPS discussion. It would help to organize things rather than having to sort through the thousands of pages in the general coral section.

Just my 2-cents, but I think this forum could use a little restructuring. (I hope nobody gets offended by this. It's just my observation coming in here not knowing anything.)

I think it might be better if the forums were laid out like this:

Paid Members
WMAS Club Info (Meeting Announcements, Tank of The Month Threads, Meeting Recaps)
Buy-Sell-Trade
Pet Store Specials - Commercial Announcements
General (Introductions, Build Threads, Whatever doesn't fit somewhere else)
Beginners/Basics (FAQ, Primers for Each Topic, Useful Links, Etc)
Photo Gallery (Photography Discussions & Tank Pics)
DIY (Building Stuff, How-To, Mods, Ideas)
Filtration (Sumps, Refugariums, Pumps, Plumbing, etc)
Lighting
Nano Tanks
Fish
Corals SPS
Corals LPS
Invertebrates
Recommendations
Off Topic

Obviously it's not that big of deal. Just something to think about.

I need to place this comment ahead of myself because my opinion is irrelevant here.Clown Do not bother reading on. Wink

WinkExcept for the buy-sell-trade section, I read almost every post, so to place them in those new categories will mean very little to me.  LOL

If we separate SPS/LPS corals, we need to have a section for Soft corals (leathers, mushrooms, etc.)

Unlike Mark, the buy & sell section is the only one I do look at... :)
I have flying monkeys and I'm not afraid to use them.

180 gallon money pit that I love.....

I too like the layout that Shawn suggested. I agree with S. Winterbottom that if we did that we should have a thread for Softies. I have always thought the site could use some re-organizing, and more topics. It just seems funny that I have to search to find a topic I posted on, just because I don't know which category it best fits and it was under. I know that it would be a lot of work to do this, but we will discuss it at the presidency meeting on the 18th and if it goes through we will get it done, although it will take time. Here is my old club's forum page. I absolutely LOVE they layout and I think we should copy it...And even put the buy/sell at the bottom so that people have to look through everything else first. I also would suggest we split buy/sell and trade into 2 forums. So we know what is free, and what is buy/sell.
