I recently added a welso to my tank.  The last couple of days it hasn't been looking so happy.  Is this something that happens from time to time.  The rest of the guys are looking fine.  The welso did as well, immediately after placing it in the tank.  Not understanding why all of a sudden a change. My params are OK.  Are there any ideas.  There is a recent picture of my tank in my build thread.  93 gal build.

thanks

Sometimes my welso will shrink up for a day or two and then get happy again. As long as your params are good you should be fine. If it looks like it is "melting" or sloughing off then that's when I would worry.

Welsos are a good medium light/low flow coral. Too much flow really irritates them as they have sharp septa which can tear the flesh.

I have had a similar experience.  Got mine and for about a week he was shrunk and small, then he opened up and is super dupa happy!

Rick -

Is your Welso just looking alittle shrunken - or can you actually see exposed skeleton?

He looks fine today.  I did move it over a bit.

Bob, it was just a little shrunken, but it was the first time since I put it in , so maybe I panicked a bit, just trying to be proactive.
