I suggest using the simple approach that Mark uses and advocates. Attach a zip tie to the light and attach it to the stand. That way it will not fall into the tank.

Thumbs Up
In that short amount of time there would be no bad effects to the tank. The only problem would be the saltwater in the light fixture. If the light bulb/tube did not burst and no sizzling sound was heard simply let it drain and reinstall it as Richard advised. I think I have a pic somewhere... yes here is my rough drawing. It shows the inexpensive clip-on light we call the "Home Depot Special" but this idea can be adapted to any kind of light fixture. A grabber screw is turned into the wood The purple and blue lines are separate zip ties. The purple zip tie is pulled tight to secure the blue zip tie in place on the screw. (colors optional). In close quarters, I have removed the clip-on piece, tied a loose knot in the power cord and zip tied that knot to the screw.
