So, I have an "Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Saltwater Liquid Master Test Kit" but it only tests for PH, Ammonia, Nitries and Nitrates. Is there a testing kit that includes tests for Phosphates, alkalinity, Calcium and Magnesium, and all those "reef" paramaters? Do you all just have those fancy probe based controllers?

Salifert and Red Sea both make good test kits.

Look up Hanna checkers for phosphates and red sea for the other peramiters. Their Alk Calcium and Mag are the best long run value IMO.

"Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Saltwater Liquid Master Test Kit"
Angry
It amazes me how this kit has continued for over 10 years to lead new saltwater hobbyists astray, making them think that's all they need, when in fact it's a different set of four that are the real Master Tests.

Thanks everyone! I order a Phosphate test and then a Red Sea kit for Ca, Ak, and Mg. I skipped the Hanna checkers little digital thing but if this phosphate test sucks ill end up ordering one.

You can get a red sea mag, alk and ca test kit all in one pack for $69 at fish 4 U. I Recently switched from salifert and for the amount of tests included in the 3-pack its a good value. Then you can just buy the refills for each individual tests as u need them . You actually get more tests per kit than with salifert and the accuracy seems to be even .

The funny thing about API calling it the master test kit is they sell cal and alk tests seperate but don't include it in the "master" kit..
