You might be thinking of brine shrimp. Good quality Mysis like "PE Mysis" is actually very healthy.
If you have other fish in you display I would just treat your whole display tank with Prazipro. It's completely reef safe. Just turn off your skimmer for a few days and take your carbon out while you use it.
