From the pic you can see the custom made valence we made. I despise wood covers on tanks, they are so annoying.  But the bright LED lights hurt my wife's eyes if something doesn't block the direct light from them, hence the custom designed valence.  It is drapery/upholstry fabric with a backing in the slots.  There are a few things I will do whenever we replace it to make improvements to it.
