Pipefish are not very strong swimmers and require a somewhat low flow system, or at least areas of the tank with very low flow. They are also known to be finiky eaters and may only eat live food. There has been alot of claims of people getting them to eat frozen brine by mixing frozen and live together. Another thing to consider is competition, as they arent aggressive eaters other tank mates may eat all the food before the pipey gets a chance.
hatching baby brine is really easy, all you need is a bubble maker, air line, and a 2 liter soda bottle. search brine shrimp hatchery on youtube for a video on how it works. I havent had much success in keeping them alive much more than a week or so after that however.
